SUCCO is a web app supporting farmer to choose the best cover crop for their fields.

Cover crops are catch crops grown between main crops and during periods of the year when the land is normally fallow. The purpose of these crops is to provide agronomic and environmental benefits to the soil; for this reason, their biomass is not harvested but left on the ground or buried.

Cover crops can significantly contribute to the productivity and sustainability of the agroecosystem, both in conservation and organic agriculture. These crops will become increasingly important in enhancing the sustainability of cultivation techniques, improving soil fertility, and achieving the 2030 objectives outlined in the European “Farm to Fork” strategy.
